These are the three main purposes an author has (hint: PIE)
What is Persuade, Inform, Entertain?
In the CRAAP test, "Currency" asks this specific question about a text.
What is "When was it published?"
This is a tiny piece of a word that has its own meaning (like "un" or "re").
What is a Morpheme?
This is the main character of a story, usually the "hero" we follow
What is the Protagonist?
These are the events that happen after the turning point, leading toward the end.
What is Falling Action?
This is specific information in writing, like a photo with a caption, that helps you find info quickly.
What is a Text Feature?
These are a writer's reasons for trustworthiness, like a degree or years of experience.
What are Credentials?
This text structure shows the similarities and differences between two topics.
What is Compare and Contrast?
This is the name for any problem a character faces in a story.
What is Conflict?
This is the overall message or "lesson" of the story; it is never just one word.
What is Theme?
This is the feeling or emotion the author has about the topic they are writing about.
What is the Tone?
This part of the CRAAP test asks "Does this text actually matter to my specific topic?"
What is Relevance?
This is the job of a "Supporting Detail" in an informational paragraph.

This is when an object (like a red rose or a dark cloud) represents a bigger idea (like love or sadness).

This is the writing technique where a writer hints at what a character is like rather than telling you directly.

To do this, you create a short and clear explanation of what a much longer article said.
What is Summarizing?
This part of the CRAAP test checks to see if other sources report the same information.
What is Accuracy?
If a paragraph explains how dogs were bred for labor over a long period of time, it uses this structure.
