What changes need to be made to our data meetings?
The six basic principles are explicit instruction in writing, sentences are the building blocks of all writing, writing is a powerful tool when embedded in the content of curriculum, the content drives the rigor of the writing activities, grammar is best taught in the context of student writing and finally, the two most important phases of the writing process are planning and revising.
What is the Writing Revolution's purpose?
I will sit in on PLT meetings and assist in planning the next CKLA unit while aligning the essential standards. We will also look at assessments from previous unit and make decisions on that data.
How can I become an active member of each grade level team?
I will help with the transition of tier 1 instruction in the classroom to the tier 3 instruction in RTI. I can relay information, set up some regular meetings times and keep communication open.
