What is the difference between a reliable and unreliable narrator?

Some narrators are reliable, because they are just telling their stories as they happen and including multiple perspectives. Some are unreliable, because they have a hidden agenda or biased perspective and are skewing the events in their favor (not telling the whole story)

The peak moment of tension for the main character, usually forced to make a life altering decision that can make or break them
