Jack is too afraid to kill a pig when he has a chance (he is still governed by civilization, order, rules, consequences and authority).Jack paints his face and is able to kill a pig. (Jack is allowing himself to drift towards his true evil desires). Jack eventually violently kills the boar, placing her head on a stick. Jack eventually leads the others in the dance during Simon’s death. Jack encourages the others to hunt Ralph like a pig (Jack consciously encourages the others to take another human’s life)
