The war provided an insight into the human condition. That we are innately evil and that evil grows the more we are away from society. That we all have a beast within us waiting to attack.

The conflict had came from the previous conflicts of WWl. Disputes from this previous war intensified . Alongside the racist ideology by targeting and conquering specific groups that the conflict began.

Who were the people in the war that resemble that of Jack. Why do you think they made so much of a difference unto Golding he characterized Jack to reinforce his theme. 

Because in the war he saw the growing evil, and we know this how we see Jack progressively changing. He characterized jack in that way to help support that theme and bring understanding to his audience.
