He is love. he even died for us out of love.

Yes.
What does ‘love never fails’ mean?
It means it lives forever.
all gifts of God come to an end but love doesn't. it continues even when we go to heaven,
and everything done in love always wins
What is love?
Love is patient and kind; doesn’t envy or get jealous. Love is not selfish. It doesn’t act rude, brag, misbehave, do evil things (or get happy by evil things), and get angry. It doesn’t keep a list of wrong things people have done. Love is always happy by the truth
What should we do if we realize that we lack one or more characteristics of love?
we should pray to God and ask him to help us
by having fellowship with God, we get filled with the love of God

to love one another as he has love us
