What is Learning Through Interests/Internships
A checklist that detail for students the skills they are required to practice and perform in order to be successful when interacting with potential mentors in the community.
What is the Competency Checklist?
An authentic project that the student completes that benefits the student and the mentor at the LTI site as part of their LTI experience.
What is a LTI Project?
The typical day of the week that you spend at your LTI.
What is Wednesday?
A conversation in which the student seeks insights on a career path, an industry, a company and/or general career advice from someone with experience and knowledge in the areas of interest.
What is an Informational Interview?
A formal document that provides an overview of your professional skills, communicates your qualifications and sets you up for career success.

What is a Project Proposal?
Typically a one day visit to learn about the profession by enabling the student to shadow an employee throughout the workday, in an occupation aligned with their interest or pathway of study.

A self-assessment tool that can help you discover the type of work activities and occupations that you would like and find exciting.
What is an Interest Profiler?
A question that helps students engage with their existing knowledge base and draw new patterns between the ideas – there is no singular right answer.

A written document that is broken down into sections making it both easier to learn and more flexible when on the call with a potential mentor or community member.

An adult in the community that have volunteered their time to provide you with hands-on experience in their field.
