This type of image lets you see what something really looks like.

You can find this at the top of a page or section. It tells you what that section will be about.
Heading
This is in the front of the book and lists the chapters or sections and the pages they start on.
Table of Contents
This is in the back of the book and tells you what pages certain topics can be found on. The topics are listed in ABC or alphabetical order.
Index
This type of image is a drawing.
Illustration
Important words that are darker and thicker, to stand out.
Bold words
This is at the beginning of the text, and it gives background information about the text before the headings and subheadings.
Introduction or intro
A clickable image or text that takes us to a new website or page.
hyperlink
This type of image is simple and shows the parts of an object with labels.
Diagram
This text feature can be found after or underneath a heading. It will tell you what a specific paragraph or small section will be about.
