She manipulates her husband. She is very controlling and bossy. She starts off as the “bad guy”.

Macbeth announced that he killed the Guards while they were praying that were outside Duncan’s room.

He fled to England to go convince Malcolm to come back to Scotland to defeat Macbeth and become king.

What has become of Scotland?
Malcolm becomes king. Many people died, including Macduff’s whole family. Macbeth dies and Lady Macbeth also dies.

Everything is reversed, what is good is or will become bad, and what is bad will eventually become good.
What reason does Macbeth give for killing Duncan’s two guards?
He claimed he saw that the guards killed Duncan, and he loved him so much that he didn’t know what to do besides kill the guards.

He first envisioned a dagger. Then he envisioned blood on the dagger. Lastly he envisioned hearing a bell, then after he grabbed the dagger out of thin air.
What does Lady Macbeth mean by “Tis safer to be that which we destroy”?
Duncan is safer than she is, she would be better off dead, because everything is her fault.
Compare Lady Macduff to Lady Macbeth.
They both have no hope in their husbands, or they have negative views on their husbands. Lady Macbeth tries to manipulate her husband, while Lady Macduff puts the negative views of her husband into her son’s head. Lady Macbeth is the smarter one of the two because she manipulated her husband into killing someone, and Lady Macduff was shot down by her own son.
How did Macbeth react to finding out about his wife’s death?
He thinks about the nerve that Lady Macbeth had to die before he earned his glory.
