How do homes work on parallel circuits?
Parallell circuits have two or more paths for the electric charge to follow. A break in one part of circuit does not stop the charge from flowing. Within a multi-bulb system, a parallel circuit ensures that when a bulb burns out, the others will stay lit because each light has its own circuit. If it was a series circuit, all the bulbs would go out!
