Chippy the squirrel knew all the tricks.
He went half-way down the tree trunk. He looked to the right and the left. He made sure no one was around. He made a quick leap over to the porch railing.
Then it was just a few running steps and a quick jump. He would be flying through the air toward a pole that held a bird feeder.
The bird feeder hung on a metal pole. It had a tray hanging under it. The tray caught all the bird seeds the birds dropped while they were eating.
Chippy pulled himself up the pole. He sat on the tray. He ate until he was stuffed full with bird seed.
