Matt and Charlie finished setting up the tent and moved onto making a campfire. When the campfire was burning strong, they pulled out long sticks and marshmallows.

It was unusually busy for a Wednesday afternoon. Lily ran around, bringing her tables water and taking their orders. When the kitchen prepared their meal, she brought it out on a large tray.
Lily is a waitress.
Tommy knew he wasn’t supposed to play baseball in the house. His friend Ethan had come over to hang out, and his mom had gone to the grocery store to buy ingredients for dinner. Ethan and Tommy looked at each other, then looked at the shattered lamp on the floor. “Do you have any glue?” Ethan asked.
Ethan and Tommy were playing baseball and broke the lamp.
As she watched the waves, Sarah took a deep breath of the salty air and sat down in the sand.

Andrew was worried. He had just been told that if he didn’t get his grades up, he would be benched for the next couple football games. He grabbed a pencil, pulled out some paper and opened his textbook. Man, he thinks, I wish I listened when Ms. Brown went over the study guide!

"Oh man, not during my favorite show," thought Kenny. The TV went black. Kenny felt his way around the kitchen and found a flashlight. As Kenny looked outside he noticed the dark homes in his neighborhood. Bam... thunder boomed above. Then Dad walked in with candles.
There is a power outage/black out.
It felt like time moved so slowly while John was sitting at his desk. He glanced quickly at the clock once more. It had only been 30 seconds since he’d last looked!
John is at school.
The room was dark and quiet. Annie heard Carl and his mother come in the front door talking. Two girls in the corner giggled nervously. Another girl told them to be quiet. Annie hid behind the table where the cake and presents were set out. The tension in the room grew as we waited for them to open the door.
They are throwing Carl a surprise birthday party.
Brush in hand, Alessandra mixed the paints until she was satisfied with the colors. She dipped her brush into the mix, then proceeded to make skillful swipes on the canvas.
Alessandra is a painter.
Tilly rolled over in her bed when she slowly realized that it was a Thursday, and she felt a little too good for a Thursday. Struggling to open her eyes, she looked up at the clock. “9:48,” she shouted, “Holy cow!” Tilly jumped out of bed, threw on the first outfit that she grabbed, brushed her teeth in two swipes, threw her books into her backpack, and then ran out the door.
Tilly is late for school.
Sally grabbed a cart and walked through the automatic doors. It had been a long day, but cooking always made her feel better. She headed towards the produce section to grab tomatoes, cilantro and an onion.
Sally is at the grocery store.
Jake and his dad had been out on the lake all day and... nothing. Their ice bucket was empty, and Jake sighed before looking out over the water once more. Suddenly, he felt a tug on his line!

Frankie repeated his lines to himself backstage. He checks his hair and makeup one last time before getting ready to perform.

“Bella, Bella! Here girl!” Cassie called out, shaking a bag of treats. Her voice was getting tired from calling out for the last hour, but she didn’t care. She ran down the street of her neighborhood, frantically calling out once more. “Bella! Bella!”
Cassie lost her dog.
Clarissa had finally gotten used to the feeling of being weightless. While she was floating by, she looked out the small window and could see the Earth below.
Clarissa is an astronaut.
