Thank them for pointing out the mistake, ask them what the correct date is if you are not sure/forget (it happens!).

Respectfully tell your friend that you don't really want to do that, ask if there is a different activity that you can both decide on, or compromise (go to the movies and the mall).

You are buying something at the grocery store. How can you talk with the person ringing up your groceries?

Ask them how their day is going.

You start to become really frustrated while writing an essay for homework. What should you do?

Identify the emotion you are feeling (frustration), take a break, take some deep breaths/go for a walk. Return to the essay once you are in the green zone.

In an argument with your friend, you say something that really hurts their feelings. They are upset now.

Apologize to your friend for what you said. Think about coping strategies to use to calm down and practice thinking before you speak.

Breathe. Recognize that your friend did not do this on purpose. Tell them you accept their apology (when they apologize).

Tell them that you like Minecraft too--it's your favorite! Ask your friend about their favorite aspect of the game.

Identify the emotion you are feeling (anxiety/anxiousness), stop to take a break and calm down. Use a coping skill. Ask for help if you need it.
