What is a Managed account?

Unlike with a mutual fund or exchange-traded fund, you directly own the individual securities. Each separately managed account is designed to follow a specific asset class or achieve a targeted investment objective.
What is an Advisor Services account?
Schwab Alliance provides "World Class" service to clients who utilize the services of a third party Financial Advisor. Not Schwab advisors.
What are these accounts meant for?
Schwab Wealth Advisory (“SWA”) is Schwab’s premier wealth management program, designed to meet the needs of investors who want advice, yet want to be actively involved in the management of their portfolios.
What is a Schwab Private Wealth Services account?
A complimentary branded program for ultra-high net worth (UHNW) retail clients.

Everyone in your household qualifies for these benefits. That includes accounts belonging to your spouses, domestic partners, parents, step-parents, children…almost anyone that you’re related to as long as you live together.
Clients can still invest in Money Market Funds in a SIP account.

Client can have a Schwab Bank Investor Checking Account connected to a Schwab One account that is managed.
A client cannot have a managed account in an S3 (Investor Checking + Schwab One brokerage) account. If an S3 account is submitted, Managed Account Operations will convert the S3 account to an S1 and the client's Investor Checking account will be closed.
Can we close an AS account?
If under "AS account Details" the "master account" is listed as Charles Schwab, then it is considered retail and we can close account in OZ.
If agency is listed, Alliance has to close the account to first delink the agency.
