a map that shows boundaries of nations and other cultural features
What is a political map?
Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western hemispheres
What are the four hemispheres?
an imaginary circle around the middle of the earth, halfway between the North and South pole
What is the equator?
this tool is used to show the cardinal and intermediate directions on a map
What is a compass rose?
distance north or south of the equator, measured in degrees/helps us to determine a place's exact location
