Operational Definition: Verbal Aggression Behaviors are operationally defined engaging in any of the following: yelling, posturing, directing threats or cursing towards an individual. The onset of this behavior is when Fred directs a verbal inappropriate comment towards another individual with an offset is 5-minutes of non-occurrence.

Target Behavior #2: Property Destruction

Operational Definition: Property destruction is operationally defined as any instance or attempt to break his own or others property (e.g., laptop, computer, television, breaking windows, causes damage to walls, baseboards, breaking doors, pulls pictures and items off walls, hitting, kicking property) with the intention of damaging the property, and any behavior that results in the damaging of his property or the property of another person/entity. 

Target Behavior #3: Elopement

Operational Definition: Elopement is operationally defined as Fred walking or running away from the current area and off property premises or attempting to evade staff in the community. Elopement can take the form of going into an unsafe area, attempting to run away, hiding from staff members, or leaving the home (AWOL). The onset of this behavior is when Fred leaves an area and the offset is when Fred has returned to the expected area for more than 5 minutes.

Target Behavior #4: Self-harm Attempts/Suicidal Behaviors 

Operational Definition: Self-harm Statements/Attempts are operationally defined as any instance of Fred attempting to intentionally harm himself to cause injury. This may look like his using a belt or rope to hang himself or asphyxiate himself to cause death or injury.

Target Behavior #5: Enuresis

Operational Definition:  Enuresis is operationally defined as any instance of Fred attempting to or successfully voiding urine or having a bowel movement anywhere that is not the toilet.
