What is "Virgin Mary"?
appeared five times in 1531 in Mexico to St. Juan Diego. She requested he get the bishop to build a church at the site. To do this, she instructed Juan Diego to take flowers from nearby. He took them in his cloak and revealed the flowers to the bishop. The flowers were out of season and an image of Our Lady was imprinted on his cloak. The bishop built the church and ~9 million people converted in the next 10 years or so.
Who is Our Lady of Guadalupe?
In 431, an ecumenical council (meeting of Church leaders) in Ephesus declared this infallible teaching (dogma) that declares Jesus had both a human and a divine nature but is one person, fully man and fully God, and it emphasizes His relationship to Mary.
What is "Mary is Mother of God"?

appeared six times in 1917 in Portugal to three children (Lucia, Jacinta, Francisco). Also called Our Lady of the Rosary, she urged the children to pray the Rosary frequently. Over 70,000 people witnessed her last appearance and they described what they saw as the "dancing of the sun."
Who is Our Lady of Fatima?
this dogma clarifies what it means for Mary to be the "God-bearer". It teaches how God applied the graces of Jesus's suffering preemptively to Mary to ensure the carrier of God ("Theotokos") was Holy and uncorrupted.
What is the "Immaculate Conception of Mary"?
a medal fashioned after St. Catherine's vision on the instruction of Mary herself. The front shows Mary on a globe; the back includes twelve stars surrounding an "M", the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

this title is a reference to her not having Original Sin since her very beginning. It is an infallible teaching of the Catholic Church?
What is "Immaculate Conception"?
appeared eighteen times in 1858 in France to St. Bernadette. Our Lady revealed herself as the "Immaculate Conception". She taught Bernadette a secret prayer and "three wonderful secrets". She told Bernadette to bathe in and drink from the fountain but none was present. Bernadette dug in the gravel to reveal a stream that has been the source of healing for many who visit the grotto.
Who is Our Lady of Lourdes?
this dogma teaches that Mary helps fulfill Isaiah's prophecy, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel." Sacred Tradition (started with the Apostles) teaches how Mary's consecration to God was forever - before, during, and after her pregnancy with Jesus.
What is "Mary, Ever-Virgin"?
prayer recited every day at 6:00am, Noon, and 6:00pm. At St. Andrew's, it is prayed at Noon just before the Noon Daily Mass. It includes three Hail Marys and reflection on the Annunciation.

Who is Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal?
this dogma was affirmed in 1950 but was part of Sacred Tradition since the early Church. It affirms Mary's state of being in Heaven, especially how it is similar to Jesus's state of being and others, like the Prophet Elijah. Mary did not need to wait until the Second Coming to receive full heavenly glory.

handed down by St. Bridget, this devotion involves seven Hail Marys and meditation on Gospel scenes dealing with suffering. It is said that Mary finds tears shed in compassion to her to the pleasing.
What is the Seven Sorrows of Mary?
this title is a reference to Mary being the carrier of God, who is the Word, the High Priest, and bread from Heaven. Mary is the new version of a similar carrier in the Old Testament.
What is "New Ark of the Covenant"?
appeared three times in 1859 in Wisconsin to Adele Bride. Our Lady identified herself as "Queen of Heaven" and encouraged Adele to dedicate her life to evangelization using the Catechism. The shrine at the site was not approved by the bishop until 2010.
Who is Our Lady of Good Help?
not a dogma (not infallible) but a Church teaching that Mary's state of sin at Jesus's conception endured through the end of her life. With this, it is natural that death and decay could not corrupt her body.
