While attending an incident in which your neighbor is blasting music with what sounds like many people in the room, you Knock & Identify yourself, but students inside refuse to open the door. 

How can you obtain information to report this incident in an IR? 

You can find the residents information on Roompact

Alert through the door, "I will be documenting this with the residents of the room"

You may also talk to the Security Monitor (if available) and see who may have been checked in as guests in the space 

Write the IR with Respondents as the owners of the room and put all observations in the body

(ex. cycle is complete but the washer door is not unlocking, and someone can't get their items out of the washer)

- Stay with the resident until help arrives. Try to keep the resident calm 

- Once medical help arrives, keep any uninvolved individuals/spectators out of the area

- Contact the RDOC if the student is transported to the hospital

- Complete an Incident Report

How do you respond to a Lockout Assist if outside of RSD hours?

- Verify that they resident calling lives in the space

- Ask the resident 3 identifiable questions based on information in Roompact, the floor plan, or by checking their ID? *If the student cannot answer the questions correctly, DO NOT perform the lock out

- If their identity is verified, notify the resident of the $50 service fee 

- Contact FSC to alert them you removed the master key 

- Meet the resident at their room. They MUST be present in order for you to unlock the door

- Unlock the door, and ask them to retrieve their key. If they do not have their key, inform them the recore charge is $100

- Return the master key to the office IMMEDIATELY. Call FSC to inform them that they key is secure, and whether the student produced their key or not
