These are appliance rules for 25 Foster Street.  And for Lincoln Square.

This is the guest policy.

What is there aren't any designated smoking areas. Smoking is not allowed on-campus or in any of the residence halls.  Students need to follow all state/federal rules regarding smoking near entrances to buildings.

These are the quiet hours in the Res. Halls.

What is Sunday-Thursday: 9:00pm-7:00AM, Friday-Saturday: Midnight-Noon. The Residence Halls always have 24-Hour Courtesy Hours.

This is the alcohol policy.

What is alcohol is permitted in residence hall rooms with closed doors. All hallways, common areas, and event spaces (such as Ballroom or 9th floor of 25 Foster are dry areas).

"Help!  I'm locked out of my room.  Can you help me? How?"

What is, yes, RAs can help let students in their rooms when on-call and/or during office hours.  Students get one free lock-out each semester, RAs check the ID/roster, complete and sign the lock-out form and leave it for their supervisor.  RA retrieves the Master key from secure location and immediately returns after the lock-out.

Explain the difference between large scale and small scale programming, and passive vs. active programs. Give examples of each.

What is large scale programs involve large groups of people (such as Finals Week dinners), while small-scale focuses more on individual groups (such as a floor program with only a section of residents). Active programs are events that students must physically attend (such as the Luau), while passive are ones that are put up for residents to receive (such as the Snowman Soup program).

Describe the RA role during a fire.

What is to get outside safely, check in with your residents, report any pertinent information via the duty phone to the ROC so that it can be relayed to the Fire Department and help manage the crowd.

I have a problem with my student loans. Who can I work with to get them worked out?

This is the process when a student wants to have furniture removed from their rooms (an extra bed, a couch)

What is there isn't a process!  It isn't allowed. All furniture that was in the room at check in should be there at check out in good condition

"I'm a great RA, I did all of these things on rounds!"

What is checking for safety hazards, work orders, fire extinguishers, propped doors, outdated fliers. You can also take this time to check in on residents that you do not see frequently, establish connections with residents, etc.
