Why would you need to add a polarimeter rather than a refractometer to your Modulyzer system when measuring liqueurs?
If the sample contains sucrose and/or invert sugar, we will want a polarimeter. If the sample is opaque or has an alternative sweetener (e.g. HFCS) then we will want a refractometer.
Does the CarboQC/CboxQC directly measure package pressure?
No. Since the device is filled with overpressure, a direct measurement is impossible. The reported value is calculated based on the CO2-air mixture at equilibrium and should not be used as a QC measurement.

A customer just bought a TPO for their new facility, and the installation went well. However, a week later, they called you saying that their TPO values did not match between facilities. They explained that they tested a package and then sent the same batch to the new facility to see how it compares, but it is reading too low. What is going on here?
If they are sending samples from the same batch from one facility to the other, there will be oxidation taking place between the two tests. The TPO results will be highest when the samples are fresh, and will decrease over time.
