What's the reasoning behind the theory that cooking with fire is what made humans smarter/modern/bigger brains?

The conspicuousness of cooking also made it competitive for feeders and vulnerable for the cooks. Females got bullied for being weaker and couldn't eat as much so they had to form alliances with males and a more social/modern human environment sprouted.
