People in Europe began to trade more -> cargo with rats that were infected by fleas (& bacteria). Symptoms: Large boils or buboes that formed on body, Headaches, Fevers, Vomiting

Treatments: Quarantining, carrying flowers/herbs in masks, draining blood, drinking powdered emerald, praying

How did the Bubonic Plague impact daily life and the population? How did it weaken feudalism?

Wiped about 1/5-1/3rd of the population because of unsanitary conditions. Those that survived (peasants) had more power, money, rights so it shifted power from feudal lords to common people.
