Describe the process of becoming a knight
What is... A boy would at about the age of 7 become a page. At about the age of 12 he would receive more advanced teachings in ways of life and battle. Then, he would go with his mentor on a journey carrying his weapons, known as a squire. When his mentor approved of him and he had enough money to pay for weapons and armor he officially was considered a knight. A common way to “knight” somebody was to take a flat sword and touch it to the shoulder of the person being knighted.
