What is a sword?
A pole weapon with a pointed blade at one end. The usual length of the shaft is 8-9 feet.
What is a spear?
A castle with a moat that would make this machine useless.
What is a siege tower?
The key tactic of these was to break up groups. Not initiated unless certain of victory.
What are battles?
Often made entirely of iron. Extremely effective against heavily armored enemies.
What is a mace?
An axe particularly designed for combat.
What is a battle axe?
A heavy log of wood used to break down doors.
What is a battering ram?
Attacks on cities or castles.
What are sieges?
Consisted of a tiller, made of wood and often decorated with horn ivory or bone, to one end of which was attached a short bow.
What is a crossbow?
Can shoot 10-12 arrows per minute. Roughly equal to the height of the person who uses it.
What is a longbow?
A large catapult with a swinging arm.
What is a trebuchet?
Used to gain land and manipulate enemies. Hit and run tactic.
What are skirmishes?
No matter how it was thrown, one spike always landed up. Used to slow down horses.
What are caltrops?
Iron head attached to a steel chain.
What is a flail?
A fortress with a claw used to attack.
What is a cat?
Spread of disease to take down enemies.
What is biological warfare?
Made up of an axe blade with a spike at the top supported by a long shaft. 5-6 feet long.
What is a halberd?
Lightweight. Ideal weapon for knights on horses. Used to slash opponents
What is a scimitar?
A small fort using a spike to attack.
What is a weasel?
Actions intended to reduce an opponent's morale or mental well being.
