Currently when is it appropriate to have your phone out at the front desk?
Never.
People couldn't make the distinction between when it was and was not appropriate to have it out so now you are never permitted to have it out. If you have an emergency and need to check it you need to notify a supervisor and step away from the front desk.
Someone wants to pays for Sierra Kids next week but they appear to have a balance on the account from the current week that is not paid off yet. What should we do?
Tell them that they cannot attend the program until their current balance is paid off and $10 late fee added then let them know that schedule changes need to be made through our email or online themselves
When someone fills out the rental request form and they inform us they will have a food truck at the event how should we handle that?
Food trucks need to have a business license to be able to operate on city property or parks. This is more involved than us and requires a special event permit. Refer them to that department.

Call 911. There could still be an active threat in the area and if someone could be hurt then it is an emergency.

You should be stopping and confirming with anyone who walks passed the threshold who they are and where they're going. Lifeguards? Make them talk to you. Bathroom? Use the front bathroom please. Vending machine? Sorry we can't permit that. There is a Valley Mart about a block up the hill.
