Comment that you will be attend the event on the event page. Next, add the event to your post on the Fall 2022 sign-up topic. After that, add the event to your calendar. Finally, make sure to register for the event using the links on the forum topic (if applicable).

You have decided to attend a conference that takes you out of town for several days.  What is the procedure for taking time off to attend the conference?

To request time off, email the program director, copy the office email, and include the proposed time off with specific start and end dates and a brief description of the circumstances. If your time is approved, make sure to post it in the approved time off announcements.

You are the SOD at a study session. What are the steps for correctly completing the sign-in form?

Sign participants in as they arrive. Make sure all spots on the form are completed. Check the database to make sure that every participant on the sign-in is also registered on the database. Make sure to email the sign-in log to the office within 24 hours of the session. 

There is a forum topic named “Staff On Duty Checklist”. Make sure to check the topic every time to ensure you have done all the tasks.

You attend a professional development event that was one event in a lecture series. How should you post your reflection?

Do not post the reflection on the lecture series forum topic. Instead, make a new topic. If multiple people attended the event, the first person to post a reflection should make the new topic and everyone else should use it.

First, contact the CAMP leader to see if the study session has been cancelled or just moved to a different location. Then, email our office to let them know about the situation. Once you receive a definite answer from CAMP, email our office again with an update.

Go to the event page on the forum as well as the Fall 2022 sign up page and post an update. Remove the time from your calendar.

Email the office to discuss about this to make sure another SOD is assigned. Talk to the other mentors in your session to make sure they are aware you will be absent.

Make a formal request to Dr. Vun via email and copy the office email stating the name of the event, the date, the location, and why you believe the event would be an appropriate professional development event. Do this at least 1 week prior to the event.
