What is
2. Trademark: Items don’t have to pass through a trademark check to show in organic product search. however, if an advertiser wants to use their feed for product ads, they will be subject to AdWords trademark policy. Unfortunately, at this point, product ads are integrated with Barnowl or the approval bin. If you see that it is a trademark issue (on the data quality tab), ensure that the advertiser passes Barnowl on that trademark and email ads-trademark@ with your case (include AW CID, MC CID, trademark, landing page, etc.)
2. Duplicate items: If two instances of the same product are detected (based on the attribute “product ID”), only one of the items will be uploaded.
3. Violation of editorial policy: Include titles and descriptions as they appear on the website, so be sure to remove all promotional text; avoid unnecessary use of punctuation, capitalization, and/or symbols. No images or images that block our crawlers
4. Quantity attribute is 0 or availability is out of stock
5. Invalid product identifiers: ensure that a UPC or other product identifier is entered correctly. A business should not create its own UPCs, as the products will either not be uploaded or be demoted due to poor quality. Check the “compare prices” page to find correct product identifiers.
UPCDatabase.com is also a helpful resource.
6. Duplicate content across domains/feeds: check the index votes in Base ICS to see if they’ve been linked to another MC account.
