Cellular respiration is when the glucose enters the cell and has a chemical reaction with the oxygen within the cell. This releases energy that we use.

It is supposed to help break down the food sp the proteins and starch can break down into amino acids and glucose. When this doesn't happen the cells in the body can't get what they need to make energy.
