Team members unable to report to work due to illness must telephone his/her supervisor as far in advance as possible EACH DAY. If his/her supervisor is unavailable, HR should be contacted. If the team member is unable to make the call personally, a family member or friend should contact on their behalf. A team member should first talk with his/her immediate supervisor if he/she has any questions, concerns, or complaints. But if his/her question, concern, or complaint is either not resolved or he/she does not feel comfortable approaching his/her supervisor, he/she should take the concern to HR for resolution.

Team members should make requests for this as far in advance as possible and discuss it with his/her supervisor, whose approval will be based on department needs. At any time, your balance may not exceed 1.5 times the annual accrual rate.
