David is making lemonade for his friend's birthday party. The lemonade mix he uses requires 5/3 of a cup of mix per gallon of water. If he has 8 cups of lemonade mix how many 2-gallon pitchers will he need to hold all of the lemonade?
David will need 3 2-gallon pitchers.
8 cups of mix will make 4 4/5 gallons of lemonade.
(8 / (5/3) = 24/5 = 4 4/5).
The first two 2-gallon pitchers will be full, the third will be partially filled.
