Getting Started With Word
is a word processing application that allows you to create a variety of documents, including letters, resumes, and more.
What is Microsoft Word
located at the top and to the left of your document. It makes it easier to adjust your document with precision.
What is the Ruler?
At the bottom left-hand corner of your screen?
What is Page and Word Count?
From here, you'll be able to create a new document and choose a template,
What is the Start Screen
If you type in what your looking for in the search bar this will help you find it
What is Tell Me?
When I don't want to see the Ruler on my screen I go to this tab
What is the view?
It has multiple tabs, each with several groups of commands.
What is the Ribbon?
By default, it shows the Save, Undo, and Redo commands
What is the Quick Access Toolbar?
This view displays the document as a webpage
What is Web Layout?
Read Mode
Print Layout
Web Layout
What is Document Views
Ribbon takes up too much screen space, you can hide it
What is the Ribbon Display Option
This view opens the document to a full screen.
What is Read Mode?
Small arrow in the bottom-right corner that you can click for even more options.
What is the Command Group?
Gives you various options for saving, opening a file, printing, and sharing your document
What is Backstage View?
Displays your document in full-screen mode and completely hides the Ribbon from view
