The first-arriving officer goes to the FACP, establishes Command, assigns Recon and water supply, and later becomes Attack One after Command is transferred. The second-arriving officer becomes the Attack One Team Leader

The third-arriving company officer becomes the Attack Two Team Leader.

When establishing the primary attack line at a high-rise or mid-rise fire, what factors determine whether crews use an apparatus stretch or standpipe operation, and what equipment is used for a standpipe attack?
Use an apparatus stretch up to the 3rd floor with the correct stairwell or use the standpipe above the 3rd floor. Standpipe attacks use a 2½-inch hose with a smoothbore nozzle, with the standpipe flushed before connecting the gauge and hose.
