Millipedes and centipedes are not the same. Yes, they're both long worm-like bugs. They have many legs and bodies with many sections, or segments. But there are important differences between these two creatures. Centipedes have two legs per body segment. Millipedes, instead, have four legs per segment on most of their bodies. Millipedes move slowly, while centipedes run quickly. The millipedes' antennae are shorter than centipedes'. Perhaps most important to remember is that centipedes, unlike millipedes, are predators and can bite!

As an actor, it is your job to deliver lines in a realistic way. However, you must first memorize them.

To begin, handwrite your lines, copying them exactly and focusing on every word. Then, record yourself reading them out loud and play them back repeatedly. You can listen while doing other activities. Next, cover the lines with a scrap of paper, say them, and check them.

Finally, ask someone to "run" your lines with you. Have the person hold the script and read the other roles as you recite your lines. Move around, experiment with your delivery, and allow yourself to make mistakes.

To be nominated as a major party's candidate for president of the United States requires endurance. The process can be confusing to voters, but the basics are clear. First, the candidate must comply with each state's legal requirements to get his or her name listed for the primary elections and caucuses. Then, the candidate must campaign and win votes in the primaries and caucuses. Those votes determine how many delegates supporting that candidate will attend the Party's nominating convention. The various state elections stretch over many months, from February to June. At last, the summer before the election, the Party holds its national convention. There, all the states' delegates gather to formally select their Party's presidential candidate.

Place four eggs in a large saucepan. Add enough cold water to cover the eggs by one inch. Slowly bring the water to a boil over medium heat. As soon as the water begins to boil, remove the pan from the burner. Cover it and let the eggs sit for about ten minutes. Then, drain the water from the pan. You will notice, though, that a hot hard-boiled egg is not easy to peel. To cool the eggs, rinse them with cold water. During World War I, British and American warships were at grave risk of German U-boat, or submarine, attacks. Warships were easily visible against the surrounding ocean. So British artist Norman Wilkinson proposed a scheme to address this concern. Rather than trying to hide the ships, he suggested painting them with bright shapes to confuse the enemy. More than a thousand ships were painted with bold patterns, including complex patterns on the bow and stern to confuse onlookers about which end was which. This technique, called dazzle camouflage, may not have actually confused the enemy, but it was effective in making the crews of the "dazzle boats" feel safer.

Many of Lakewood's neighboring communities have fenced dog parks. It's about time that Lakewood had a dog park, too.
