I left my lunch box on the bus before school.
Medium: Tell an adult. Get school lunch that day. Get lunch box on the bus ride home.
Students are kissing in the hallway.

Kids won't stop talking in class etc.
A student was swearing in the hallway.
NO
Someone fainted on the playground.
Big Problem: Get an adult immediately to help.
A student is calling you names and making fun of you.
Tell them that is mean and they hurt your feelings. If they continue, then tell an adult.

Pencil breaking etc.
A student said they don't feel safe at home.
YES
My pencil broke in half.
Small problem: Get a new pencil
Kids were swearing in the hallway before class.
Do nothing. It is not a you problem.
What is an example of a big problem?
There is a fire in the classroom etc.
A student is drinking at school.
YES
Some kids are talking at the back of class and its distracting.
Small problem: Ask them to stop or talk more quietly.
IF THEY DON'T
Medium problem: Tell teacher they are distracting you.
Someone invites you to a party, but you don't want to go because you think there will be smoking at the party.
Tell them you can't go and give an excuse (my mom won't let me, I have other plans). Ask to hang out a different day.

A student told you they cheated.
NO: The teacher will know and will deal with it. It's not a you problem.
A kid bumped into me in the hall and I dropped all my books and stuff.
Small problem: Just pick up your stuff and move on.
Kids are making fun of a new student.
Tell them to stop. If they don't then tell an adult. That could be bullying.
What is an example of a big problem?
Someone got hurt at recess.
A student told you they have a vape.
NO. Not your job to get them in trouble.
