People got sick from fleas biting them. Due to fleas hitching a ride over seas on rats, they were able to travel to Europe. The plague eventually turned airborn.

What were effects from the Protestant Reformation?

Martin Luther King took matters into his own hands after he was sent away, and he proved that indulgences were not real. This caused a huge loss of trust towards the church, and there were many followers lost. On the other hand, people then had copies of the Bible thanks to Martin Luther, so they interpreted it in their own way. This led to new forms of the church being developed.

This was a time when scientists got together to make and prove a set of rules that spell out the proper course of establishing facts. All of these beliefs went against the ideas of the catholic church, so they were again proven wrong. Each scientist - Newton, Galileo, and Copernicus - had their ideas grow of the others.
