Recall key plot events in "Thank You, Ma'am", "Monkeyman", and "Day of the Last Rock Fight"

"TYM": Roger tries to steal Mrs.Jones purse. Mrs.Jones takes him back to her house and lets him clean himself and then they have dinner together. Mrs.Jones teaches him a lesson, gives him money and tells him not to do it again.

"MM": In Harlem, the narrator tells a story about Monkeyman and how he saved a girl named Peaches from the gang Lady Tigros. The rest of the Tigros feel slighted by this and put a target on MM. Clean (a new student) comes and tries to earn a spot in this gang by harming MM. This eventually leads to a meet up in the park where Clean attacks MM. Monkeyman does not fight back. This is to show the overall lesson of right and wrong.

"Rock Fight": This story is a letter written from Ronnie to his dad. The purpose of the letter is to tell his dad he wants to come home from his new school and he wants to confess what he knows about the murder of Gene Hanlon. Ronnie knew the how and why. In the story, his friend Peter gets triggered by Gene for talking about the girl he likes. Everyday at this school there were rock fights at lunch during recess. The rules to stay safe are to make a noise before throwing a rock and rocks must be the size of a hazelnut or smaller. This fatal day, Peter goes out and breaks all of the Rock Fight rules - he silently throws a huge boulder at Gene and kills him. Ronnie witnesses this from his hidden look out spot. He never says anything and some time later the investigator puts all the pieces together. When Peter finds this out, instead of going to jail he kills himself. Ronnie feels good knowing he never squealed.
