some ideas: Rethink and try a different way. Talk to the elder's quorum or relief society presidency to get suggestions. Pray about it and try to come up with a different idea with your companion.

-Home teaching/visiting teaching was sharing a monthly spiritual message in the home of those you are assigned and asking if they need help. More of a checklist, making sure you've done it each month. 

-Ministering is following the pattern the Savior showed while He was on the earth.
