How can ministering be customized to each person?
When we minister one by one and don't just try to do ministering the same for each person, we are following the pattern of how Christ ministered. Think of different stories of Christ healing and ministering- women at the well, the 10 lepers, raising people from the dead.

What can you do if someone isn't receptive to the way you tried to minister to them?
some ideas: Rethink and try a different way. Talk to the elder's quorum or relief society presidency to get suggestions. Pray about it and try to come up with a different idea with your companion.
What is the difference between home teaching/visiting teaching and ministering?
-Home teaching/visiting teaching was sharing a monthly spiritual message in the home of those you are assigned and asking if they need help. More of a checklist, making sure you've done it each month.
-Ministering is following the pattern the Savior showed while He was on the earth.
How can you become more in tune with those you minister to?
some ideas: Pray for them, by name. Follow the promptings (thoughts) that come to your mind about them. Accept them where they are and love them as their Heavenly Father does.

Teenagers are so busy! What good can come from adding youth to ministering?
some ideas: It teaches the youth how to serve and shows them the example from their companion. It can allow young men to honor their priesthood by being given opportunities to provide blessings. It teaches them to pray for others and to listen to the Holy Ghost.

some ideas: As we serve and love as Christ did, we become more like Him. Service and love one to another is service to our Lord. Ministering allows us to see the things God does for us in our lives and the lives of those we minister to.
