What is a Header?
Suspend debate on current topic and move on to the next topic in the agenda (decided by ⅔ majority vote)
What is a Tabling?
A delegate can motion to use roll call and the chair will ask each country to state their stance in alphabetical order
What is a Roll Call Vote?
If a topic is not given beforehand, you are given the opportunity to select one that you would like discuss (based on voting)
What is Setting the Agenda?
You will be given a chance to convince other delegates why your stance on the issue is correct (yield time to chair, another delegate, or to questions) *chair will establish time limit
What is GSL or General Speaking List?
To recommend solutions to the issue presented (underline phrase + number + semicolon)
What is an Operative Clause?
Any change or addition to a draft agreed upon by all sponsors (automatically added if no one objects)
What is a Friendly Amendment?
A delegate can motion to divide a draft resolution into separate groups and voted on individually (ex: “motion to divide the question on clause 3, 7, and 15”)

What is the Speaker's List?
Specific time given to debate about a specific issue in the general topic (motioned by delegate, must include time limit and speaking time)
What is a Moderated Caucus?
Identify problems you are solving and past international actions (underline phrase + comma)
What is a Preambulatory Clause?
Any change opposed by at least one sponsor (2 speaker for and 2 speakers against) and decided by majority vote
What is an Unfriendly Amendment?
A delegate can motion to vote in this manner and the chair will ask the committee if there are any objections (if a delegate objects, placard vote is used, if not, the resolution is passed)
What is a Unanimous Consent?
Allows the delegates to get up and converse with each other (must include time limit as well)
