How do you pray when travelling?
Salat Al-Qasr - The method of salat al-qasr is the same as the daily salah. The only difference is the niyyah and the number of rak‘at. All the four rak‘at salahs, which are dhuhr, asr, and isha, are shortened to two rak‘ah each; and for each of these prayers the niyyah would: "I am praying dhuhr/asr/isha, two rak‘ah, qasr, wajib/qurbatan ilallah."

What are the rules of Salat Al-Jama‘ah?
1. The niyyah of salat al-jama‘ah should be to follow the Imam of jama‘ah People praying in congregation should stand together shoulder to shoulder without leaving any gaps.
2. The followers should recite all the dhikr themselves except for Surat al-Fatiha and the second surah in the first two raka'ah.
3. No actions (such as ruku or sajdah) should be performed before the Imam.
4. The followers should perform them at the same time as the Imam or slightly after the Imam.
5. If a follower arrives late, he or she can join the jama‘ah. There are special rules for this.

Tawhid! Surat al-Ikhlas describes Allah, by saying He is one, and that He is eternal, unique, and has no kinship, creator, or resemblance to any other thing.
What are the condition for Salat Al-Qasr?
1. The distance of the journey must be 27.5 miles (approx. 44 km) or more from the boundary of the travellers hometown.
2. The duration of time the travellers spends at his destination must be less than ten days.
3. If a person has to travel frequently, as part of their job such as a pilot or a lorry driver, then they cannot shorten their salah because travelling is part of their job.
4. The intention and purpose of travel must not be to do something haram.
