Describe the tundra ecosystem.

James Oglethorpe, known for establishing the colony of Georgia. Great Britain had a problem with overflowing prisons. Many prisoners were jailed because they owed large debts to businesses, banks, and the government. I allowed the debtors to settle in my colony and even provided them with land. Still, many acquired more debt during the passage to North American and had to serve additional time as indentured servants within the colony. We helped protect the Southern colonies from Spanish invasion.

The transatlantic slave trade was also called the "triangular trade" for the triangles formed by the trade routes. One set of routes carried sugar and molasses from the Caribbean to the New England colonies, where it was turned into rum. The rum was sent to Africa and traded for people forced into the slave trade. The enslaved Africans were transported to the Caribbean where they worked on sugar plantations. Another set of routes sent rum from New England to Europe, manufactured goods and weapons from Europe to Africa, and enslaved Africans to the colonies.
