This Council represents and is the governing body of the Sorority. The Council consists of four elected positions including the National President, National Vice President for Colonization and Membership, Vice President for Special Projects, and the Vice President for Communication and Recognition. The Vice President for Professional Relations is appointed each biennium by the National President.
What is the National Council?
Use the For Greater Practice Initiative! Have 50% or more of your chapter members practice at least four hours a month on their instrument, flag, breathing gym, etc. Turn in the completed tracking sheet to the Facebook group once you as a chapter have completed three months.

What is the Second Quality?
This award honors members who have distinguished themselves as outstanding student leaders of Tau Beta Sigma, their band, their campus, and in academics. The scholarship is open to applications from all Active members of Tau Beta Sigma.
What is the TBΣ National Scholarship for Outstanding Student Leaders?
This board oversees the financial stability of the Organization as a whole.
What is the Board of Trustees?
Submit your completed Chapter Budget and Chapter Constitution to your District Counselors, watch the National Risk Management Policy Video as a chapter, and post a picture of the chapter with the Take a Stand for TBS Pledge Cards into the Focus on Five Campaign Group with the date you completed the video viewing.

Named for Patsy Drury Hejl – a female band director, principal, Past National President, Board Member, and mentor – this award was designed to honor those members who have distinguished themselves as outstanding musicians during their college career. The scholarship is open to applications from all Active members of Tau Beta Sigma.
What is TBΣ Pasty Drury Heji National Scholarship for Outstanding Musical Achievement?
The association directs the activities of the Sorority’s Alumni Association. There are six members of the EC, including a chairperson, a vice chair, and other directors of various Alumni Association activities, such as Membership Director, Finance Director, etc.

Named after the Founder of our Sorority, Wava Banes Henry – a trailblazer, leader, and female band director – this award is designed to provide financial assistance to those who are preparing to enter the field of Music Education. The scholarship is open to applications from all Active members of Tau Beta Sigma who are majoring in music education and identify as female.
