Does a stranger have to look like a "bad" person?
No. Remember, a stranger is someone you don't know. There can be "good" and "bad" strangers. A police officer is still a stranger if we don't know him/her. Unfortunately, we don't know if a person is good or bad just by looking at him/her.
How can you prevent someone from stealing your online information?
1. Do not share passwords
2. Only use secure websites and apps.
3. Use 2-step-authentication or 2-factor-authentication

Use crosswalks if available, stop, look left and right multiple times to make sure there are no cars then walk quickly

If someone you don't know says, "I have seen you around before, I will give you a ride home." What should you do?
Say No! Call a parent/adult or go to a public place to find a safe adult.

Bully / Cyber Bully / Internet Troll!
If you witness a crime or an accident in your community what should you do?
Call 911.
What should you do if hear a strange noise outside your house?
Follow family safety plan! Stay inside and wait for someone to come home or call for help if needed
What do you do if someone knocks on the door and you can't see who it is/they don't say anything?
(Follow family safety plan) Do not open the door if you do not know who it is. Call a parent/adult for help, or in an emergency call 911.
What do you do if you know someone else is being cyber bullied?
Give them support and tell an adult.
How can we protect ourselves and our families from getting sick?
Wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart from others to prevent the spread of germs.
What do you do if you come home and notice the windows are broken?
Don't go in, call a parent or the police and wait.
If you get lost, who is a safe stranger you can find to ask for help?
A neighbor you know, a police officer, or someone who works at the store, park or place you are visiting (usually these people will be in a uniform).

Say no! Block them and tell an adult.
What should you do if you ever feel unsafe?
Tell a parent or trusted adult if you ever feel unsafe with yourself or with someone else. In an emergency situation, call 911 for help.

Create a Safety Plan with your family, with details of how to handle "What If" scenarios.

Your phone number, address and personal information.
What do you do when someone says something mean about you online?
Don't believe them. Remember who you are and that what they said is not true. Block them! Tell a parent or adult about cyber bullying.

Tell someone where you are going so that someone always knows where you are in case of an emergency.
