The Office- no teachers are on duty before 8am

CPA area with your bag! Teachers and Teacher Aides will send you to your classroom at 8:40am
What happens if I break one or more of our school rules?
Time Out: Removal from class or the playground to administration.
Reflection: Reffered to DP to unpacking the behaviours and as a reset opportunity (Green Slip)- Contact Home. Recorded on your school profile.
Can you wear jewellery to school?
Yes- simple stud earrings.
No drop earrings, necklaces etc.
Who are the cleaners in charge of our area?
Des & Trudy!
You must treat them with respect and keep areas clean- it is not their job to clean up after you!
If I hurt myself at playtime, can I just go to the office?
No. You need to get a red dot from a teacher on duty. If you are injured and teachers need to monitor your safety, they may ask you to stay where you are and office/first aide will come to you.
Can you play under JBlock before or after school while waiting for your parents?
No. There is OSHC using JBlock and with no teachers on duty you can NOT play there. You must go straight to wait at the area your parents are picking you up from or wait in the CPA area.
What do you receive for positive behaviour at Mooloolaba State School & what happens with them?
Gotchas & they go into a raffle each fortnight at parade.
Can you wear make-up to school?
No- not in guidelines with the Student Code of Conduct.
Sunscreen & Skin care is okay.
Roll on deodorant is okay to pack in your bag as we get older, we can get smellier and, in the heat, it can be beneficial to have deodorant in your bag.

If I arrive late to school do I just hurry straight to class?
No. You go to the office and get a late slip as they will need to know WHY you are late. Bring your late slip to class and give it to your teacher.
Can you leave the classroom to use the bathroom at any time?
You must seek teacher permission!
If you are having an issue at lunch time with peers, what strategy can you use?
Ignore: ignore the unkind behaviour and do not engage with them.
Talk Friendly but Firmly: use a calm and assertive voice to express your feelings.
Walk Away: Remove yourself from the situation confidently.
Report: Tell a teacher on duty- reporting unkind behaviour incidents is important!
Support: If you are a bystander and you see or hear someone being unkind- be a leader- show integrity- support the victim and report the incident.
If I don't have a brim hat/school hat can I play outside or in the library?
NO- Not hat no play. You sit under J-Block.

If you have a phone or smart watch, can you leave them in your school bag?
NO! They must go to the office.
If you ride a bike or scooter to school what are the rules?
You must walk you bike once in school grounds (you can ride it on the oval but not until you are away from buildings- not on the slope). Bikes and scooters must be left at the bike rack for the day.
What does it mean to be a Mooloolaba Kid?

Only if you have an early leave pass and have given it to a teacher.
