Baby Moses
I was a tiny baby,
Floating in a basket.
My sister watched nearby
To see what would happen.
Pharaoh's daughter found me.

Moses
I was the king of Egypt.
I made God's people work very hard.
Moses came to me and said,
“Let God's people go!”

I watched over a flock each day.
I helped keep the animals safe.
I led them to find food and water.
What job was I doing?
Shepherding; Taking care of sheep
I was once water, clear and bright.
Then I changed to red in sight.
The river was no longer good to drink.

1st plague; blood
I appeared on people's skin.
I made painful bumps.
This plague made people very uncomfortable.

6th plague; a boil
I went down to the river
To wash and play.
I saw a little basket
Floating that day.
Inside was a baby boy
Whose name was Moses.

We were God's people in Egypt.
Pharaoh made us work very hard.
We were treated unfairly
And needed God's help.

I was on fire in the wilderness,
But I did not burn away.
Moses came closer to see

God spoke to Moses through me.

I fell on the land with a loud sound.

To keep him safe.
I carried the basket along the water.

Moses was walking one day
When he saw something wrong.
Someone was being treated badly,
And Moses did not think it was right.
What did Moses see?
An egyptian hurting an Israelite
I spoke to Moses from the burning bush.
Moses asked, “What is Your name?”
I told him to call Me
“I AM WHO I AM.”

I have wings and love to eat plants.
I came in huge groups.
I ate the crops in Egypt.

8th plague; A locust
A baby boy needed to be kept safe.
His mother was very worried.
She made a special plan
To protect her little baby.
Why did she put him in the basket?
Moses saw someone being hurt
And became very upset.
He looked around to see if anyone was watching.
Then something very serious happened,
And Moses knew he had to leave Egypt.
What happened?
Moses killed the Egyptian man
God told Moses to take me off
Before he came any closer.
He was standing on a special place
That was holy to the Lord.

I covered the land.
The sun could not be seen.
People could not see where they were going.

9th plague; darkness (3 days)
I grew up with other children in my family.
They were part of my family
And later became important in my story.

Pharaoh was angry with him

Moses knew he was in trouble.

He ran away.
God had a special job for me.
He wanted me to go to Egypt.
I was supposed to speak to Pharaoh
And help God's people go free.
What did God tell Moses to do?
I came upon the animals.
Cows, horses, and other animals became sick.
Many animals died.

I was the final plague.
Pharaoh still would not let God's people go.
A very sad thing happened to the firstborn children of Egypt.
