They wanted to make a name for themselves — to make themselves look great!

That his descendants will be as many as the stars in the sky.

Abraham believed, and God was pleased with him.

What did God do about it? Why was it not good?
He confused their language by making lots of different languages! This caused them to spread out across the earth.
They were making idols of themselves…putting themselves above God…they were disobeying his command to spread out across the whole earth!
