The first thing to do when you enter Mr. Carte's classroom.
What is "Put Phone Away (High School) and Get Supplies?"
If you want to speak in class, you need to do this.
What is "Raise Your Hand?"
These are the tasks you should be completing at the end of class.
What is "Cleaning Up/Putting Supplies and Instruments Away/Putting Stand Under Chair/Etc.?"
This policy requires you to talk to 3 people before asking Mr. Carte a question.
What is "Ask 3 Before Me?"
This is how to inform the classroom teacher that the phone is ringing.
What is "Quietly?"
This is the way that you should be working at the beginning of class.
What is "Quietly?"
This is Mr. Carte's #1 rule when he is teaching.
What is "Don't Talk While He is Talking?"
This is the amount of time that Mr. Carte "typically" gives to complete all "end of class" tasks.
What is "2-3 minutes?"
This is where you check for assignments/tasks/videos/etc. if you are absent.
What is "The BAND App, Schoology, or another student?"
This is what you should do is there is an adult in the room/administrator in the room/sub covering the class.
What is "follow all classroom/school rules and work as directed?"
This is the location of the agenda, objective, and bell ringer.
What is "Classroom Screen?"
This is how you should handle sharpening pencils and throwing away trash.
What is "Quickly and Quietly?"
This is where you should be once you are packed and ready to go.
What is "near your stand that is pushed into your chair?" (In front of chairs for middle school; behind chairs for high school.)
This policy requires you to wait a certain amount of time before going to the bathroom.
What is "The 10-10 Policy?"
This is how you should treat classroom materials that are not yours, including instruments.
What is "With Respect?"
This is the amount of time Mr. Carte "typically" gives for students to complete their beginning of class routine.
What is "3-5 minutes?"
If you break the classroom rules, this is the first "punishment."
What is a "Warning + An Apology?"
This is the direction that stands should be pointed when pushed into the chair.
What is "Down?"
These are cases when you can bypass talking to 3 students before talking to Mr. Carte.
What is "You need help/emergency/someone is bothering you?"
This is the location that students will go if there is a fire drill.
MS: Outside along the fence.
HS: Outside into the parking lot.
Mr. Carte has to do this activity before you can do anything with this classroom.
What is "Open the Door?"
This is the only acceptable time to not ask permission to leave the classroom.
What is "Throwing Up/Nosebleed/etc.?"
This is what happens if the room is not cleaned nor presentable for the next class.
What is "Staying Behind Until The Room is Clean?"
If you are late to class, this is what you should supply to Mr. Carte.
What is "an excuse/written note from teacher or office/etc.?"
