What do I do if I have a question?
Raise your hand and wait for the teacher to call on you
If the teacher does not call on you after a minute or two, you have permission to say, “Mr. Wilson, I have a question.”
What do I do when it is lunch time?
Wait for your teacher to tell you to line up
When you line up…
Grab your lunch materials and a coat if it is cold outside for recess
Follow the normal lineup procedures
Follow lunchroom and recess procedures and rules
What do I do when I get off the bus?
When you get to the school building grab breakfast and head straight to your homeroom.
When it is time for independent reading, you must...
Have your book ready
Silently and independently read your book
Be ready for the teacher to call you back for small group time
Not disturb others as they are trying to read!!!
How do I line up?
Stand up
Push your chair in
Lineup in number order
KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF
DO NOT TALK WHEN WE LEAVE THE CLASSROOM
How do I put away my chromebook?
Wait for your teacher to call your number
Stand up and slowly walk to the chromebook area
Find your slot for your chromebook
Carefully plug in your chromebook and place it in its numbered slot
BE CAREFUL TO NOT MOVE OTHER CHROMEBOOKS
Slowly walk back to your seat and sit back down
What happens if it is raining outside during recess?
Indoor recess will happen when it is raining, or it is too cold outside
We have board games, card games, extra math and ela activities, and much more for you to do during indoor recess
You are not allowed to be on your phone or chromebook during this time (unless told otherwise)
You must use an inside voice and there is absolutely no running
If you are seen fighting, you will lose the rest of your recess time, and potentially more
When am I dismissed?
When the 3rd bell rings, and the teacher says it is okay to leave
Car riders leave on the first bell
How do I complete morning work?
Check the morning slide for any information you may need
You are welcome to eat your breakfast and work to ensure that you have time to finish
Complete the morning work by yourself, unless told otherwise
If the morning work is being collected, turn it in to the morning work bin
How do I walk in the Hallways?
Stay in a single file line
Stay behind the person in front of you
KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF
TURN VOICES OFF, UNLESS TOLD OTHERWISE
Follow your teacher
When working in small groups, you must...
Follow the teacher’s instructions
Use a soft inside voice
Be respectful and peaceful
Listen to others more than you speak
Slowly and quietly walk to your small group area
Work with everyone in your group
Complete your individual work unless told otherwise
What happens if I make a mess during lunch and recess?
IF THERE IS A MESS LEFT OUT DURING INDOOR RECESS, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING IT UP
YOU MAY LOSE RECESS TIME IF YOU LEAVE A MESS
What do I do when I am dismissed?
When it is time to leave, walk straight to your dismissal area
Do not run in the hallways
Do not stop at other classrooms
Follow your teacher to your dismissal area
I have to use the bathroom, what do I do?
Raise your hand holding the hand signal for the letter “r” in sign language (your index and middle finger crossed)
After the teacher dismissed you to the restroom, sign out using the sheet next to the door
When you return, sign back in on the same sheet
Why do we have procedures?
Procedures make sure that all students know what to do.

Procedures help us to make sure our school can focus on what’s most important, learning!

This helps everyone focus so that we can learn better and keep our classroom running smoothly.
Also, there could be an emergency that your teacher is trying to alert you of.
How do I get my chromebook?
Stand up and walk to the chromebook area
Unplug and grab your chromebook with your special number in the top left
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT MESS WITH ANY OTHER CHROMEBOOK
Slowly walk back to your seat and log in to your chromebook
What do I do when it is time to come in from recess?
Listen to the adults on the playground
Lineup quietly and follow the instructions of the adults
Walk quietly back to your classroom
