What do you do when you want to talk in class?
Raise your hand before you talk and wait for Mrs. Cruz to call your name. Then you may talk.
What is the first thing you do in the morning before coming into class?
We take out our Chromebook, our homework folder, and anything else we will need because we can't go back to our backpacks once we are in the class.
When can you use the restroom and drink water?
You can go to the restroom and drink water, before class starts, during morning recess and during lunch recess.
Where should you play every day?
We will look at our play area paper every day to know where we will play. We must stay in that area.
What do you do if you finish your classwork early?
You can look at the early finisher poster on the wall. finish work in your “Ketchup Folder”

What should you do if someone is bothering you in class?
In a calm voice, politely tell that person to stop and then raise your hand to tell Mrs. Cruz.
What is the first thing you do when you get to your desk in morning as soon as school begins?
We put our Chromebook in our desk, put our homework folder on top of our desk, and take out our light blue morning folder and begin to do our morning work.
Where do you turn in your classwork when you are finished?
When I am finished with my work it will go in a pink basket for reading and another pink basket for math.
What do you do when the yard supervisor person blows the whistle?
You should go to the bathroom, drink water and then get in line quietly and stop
playing around.
How should you treat classroom materials that are not yours?
Anytime you use materials that are not yours, you should take extra care of them and be gentle with them.
According to our #1 Class Rule, how do we show respect to one another?
We will keep our hands, feet, and all objects to ourselves and NOT bother anyone.
How do you get new homework and give Mrs. Cruz the homework you did at home?
Mrs. Cruz will call each table one at a time. Each student from that table will take their homework to Mrs. Cruz and then pick up the new homework and put it in our homework folder.
What do I do with the classwork that I did not finish?
I put the work carefully and neatly in my
“Ketchup Folder”
What should you do if you have a problem with another student during recess time ?
Calmly tell the person to stop, walk away, and go find one of the yard supervisors. Tell them what happened to you.
What will happen if you do not charge your Chromebook at home before you sleep?
If this happens a lot, Mrs. Cruz will not let you take your Chromebook home anymore.
It will stay in class.
According to our #2 Class Rule, how do we show that we are RESPONSIBLE ?
We listen, pay attention, follow Mrs. Cruz's directions, and finish our work on time.
What do you do when it is time to clean up?
I will put away all of my belongings and leave my desk top empty and clean. I will throw away anything on the floor that I dropped. If it is time to go home the back tables will put up their chairs.
How should students sit and behave on the floor when they are waiting for Mrs. Cruz ?
On the floor we must sit next to our seat partner in our assigned spot.
No one should be talking while we wait for
Mrs. Cruz.
After recess, what should you NOT do in line while waiting for Mrs. Cruz?
I should not be playing around or fooling around. I should not be yelling or be out of line.
What should you do if you forgot your school supplies and need a pencil, scissors, or glue?
You should ask the BORROW BUCKET monitor. That student will lend you what you need and will collect it from you at the end of the day.
Why do you think Mrs. Cruz does not want you to talk to others when she is teaching or when you are completing work?
If we talk when Mrs. Cruz is teaching then we will miss stuff, not understand what to do, and not learn. If we talk too much to people around us then we will not finish our work.
How can you keep your desk organized every day?
I should not shove papers in my desk. ALL papers must go in a folder that matches the work. I should not leave pencils and other things loose in my desk. They belong in my pencil pouch. I cannot write on my desk.
What do you do when another adult walks into our class or the class phone rings?
We immediately go to ZERO VOLUME. We continue to work. We cannot interrupt Mrs. Cruz unless we have an emergency.
Name two things you should do at recess before returning to class?
You should go to the restroom and drink water before coming back to class.
What app should your parent check every day?
Your parent should look at the Class Dojo app every day so that he or she can read messages
