A jar contains 4 cherry cough drops and 10 honey cough drops. You choose one cough drop at random without looking. The cough drop is cherry. Find the probability of that event. Write it as a fraction in simplest form, a decimal, and a percent to receive full credit!
4/14 = 2/7 = 0.286 = 28.6% or you could have rounded to 29%

What is the probability of a tail when a fair coin is tossed? To receive full credit write your fraction in simplest form, and give the equivalent decimal and percent.
1/2 = 0.5 = 50%

A spinner has eight equal sections numbered from 1-8. predict how many times the pointer will land on a multiple of 3 in 300 spins. Hint: proportion
About 75 times

Mrs. Hernandez has a total of 118 students, 58 of them are seventh graders. What is the probability of selecting an eighth grader at random? Write your answer in simplest form.
60/118 = 30/59

Come up with your own probability problem. Include the answer. :)
Thank you! Good job!

List the sample space for rolling a fair dice.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
200
The probability of rolling two heads in a row?
What is 1/4?
200
If a coin is flipped 6 times, what is the sample space?
64
200
The probability of selecting a King. Write your answer in simplest form.
4/52 = 1/13
200
What is the probability of not getting an even number when a fair die is rolled? Simplest form.
3/6 = 1/2
300
The theoretical probability of a given event is 9/13. Explain what each number represents?
9 represents the ways the events can occur; 13 represents the number of equally likely outcomes.
300
Mrs. Hernandez is ordering a taco. She can order a corn tortilla or a flour tortilla. She can choose beef, fish, chicken, or zucchini as the filling. She can also choose sour cream or guacamole. Each combination is equally likely. Find the probability that a taco she chooses at random has a corn tortilla, fish, and guacamole.

300
What is the difference between theoretical probability and experimental probability?
Theoretical probability is what we expect to happen, where experimental probability is what actually happens when we try it out. The probability is still calculated the same way, using the number of possible ways an outcome can occur divided by the total number of outcomes.
300
The probability of drawing a face card. Write your answer in simplest form.
12/52 = 3/13
300
If you roll the dice, what is the probability that you will roll a 7? Extra point: give me the the phrase or word that means that number.
0, impossible
400
The sample space for flipping a coin 2 times.
HH, HT, TH,TT
400
The probability of a sum of 9 or 8 when rolling two fair dice? Want an extra point? Give your answer as a fraction in simplest form, a decimal, and a percent. :)
9/36 = 1/4 = 0.25 = 25%

A bicycle license uses the letters A and B and the number 4. Either of the symbols may be repeated, and every license has exactly three characters. Find the probability of a license with three letters.

Blake volunteers at the animal shelter. He has an equally likely chance of being assigned to the dog, cat, bird, or reptile section. if he volunteers 30 times, about how many times should he expect to be assigned to the cat or reptile section?
about 15 times

If you roll two dice at once, what is the probability that you will roll a sum of 8?
5/36

A bag contains 4 white tiles and 8 black tiles. You select one tile at random from the bag. What is the probability that you select a black tile? Write your answer in simplest form. Want an extra point? turn your answer into a decimal and percent. :)
8/12 = 2/3 = 0.67 = 67%
500
When rolling 2 dice, what is the probability of rolling a sum of 3, 5, or 8?
What is 11/36?
