What is the procedure for when a visitor enters the classroom during crew time?
The President or Vice President should walk over to them, welcome him or her to Mrs. Olsen's Crew, and tell him or her that they are welcome to join us during crew.

What are the procedures for using the restroom during the day?
1. Go to the bathroom before school, at recesses, or during lunch. 2. Don't ask to go while Mrs. Olsen is talking to the whole group. 3. Don't ask to go during an assembly. 4. If it's an emergency, and you need to use the bathroom during class, you must pay 5 dollars. 5. ALWAYS: Walk to and from the bathroom silently and behave responsibly in the bathroom.

What do you do when Mrs. Olsen or Mrs. Penate says "YELLOW LIGHT, RED LIGHT"?
Immediately stop talking and FREEZE!

When should you go to your backpack?
Never! During the day, you should never walk over to your backpack. It should be unpacked at the beginning of the day, and you don't return to it until the very end of the day.

When is it okay to wear a shirt that has something on it other than the Entheos Emblem?
If there is an emblem on your shirt, it must be the school emblem. You can wear shirts that do not have the emblem, though, if it has a collar and is the right color.

How do you know when it is okay to talk in class?
Follow Mrs. Olsen and Mrs. Penate's instructions. They will let you know whether a 10 inch voice is allowed or if it should be silent. You should never talk when a speaker is talking. That will result in a warning.

When is a good time to sharpen pencils?
You don't have a to sharpen any pencils! Any time you have a dull pencil, you just need to trade the dull pencil for a sharpened pencil. If you have a pencil sharpener of your own, you may use it at any time. Never switch pencils when the teacher is talking!

What do you do when Mrs. Olsen says "Turn and Talk"?
Tell your partner whatever thoughts and ideas you have. IT'S OKAY TO MAKE MISTAKES. You need to participate by being a good listener and speaker.

What happens if you get two warnings in one day? Three? Four?
On the second warning, you must give two dollars to the Banker, and the Banker will give that dollar to Mrs. Olsen when she is ready for it. On the third warning, you must stay in from recess to write a reflection. On the fourth, there will be parent contact.

What should you do if you are asked to go get something out of your assigned draws?
Walk -- don't run -- to the correct set of drawers. Find your book, and put the rest back to where they were. Never leave textbooks and workbooks on the ground.

What is the procedure for when the telephone rings or an announcement comes over the intercom?
You should immediately become super silent. Also, if Mrs. Olsen isn't available, the Equipment Manager will answer the phone.

Your bottom should be right on top of the blue spot. You should not play with the sit-spots. You should face the whiteboard.

You listen for the signal: "Ready, GO!" *Snap*

When is it okay to get a drink of water?
1. Don't ask to get a drink while a teacher is talking to the whole group. 2. During independent work time, it's okay to ask to use the drinking fountain. 3. Water bottles are okay as long as the lid is on; they need to be kept on the back counter any time we are using technology. 4. No liquid except water is allowed in the classroom. 5. Recess is the best time to get a drink!

What is the procedure for entering the classroom at the beginning of the day?
1. Move your magnet to "Ready to Learn!" 2. Hang up your coat and backpack. 3. Get out your planner, and put it at your seat to be checked. Check the whiteboard. 4. Get your breakfast. 5. Start doing your morning work while eating breakfast. 6. Breakfast should be cleaned up before crew.

Never! Well, okay, if there is a life or death emergency I'd want to know about that.

What is the proper way to stand and walk in line?
The line should be straight. That means you are directly behind the person in front of you. You shouldn't touch anything on the walls or any other person. It should be absolutely silent in the hallway because we don't want to disrupt others.

What happens when Mrs. Olsen says "NO TEXTING WHILE DRIVING".
You must immediately stop talking because we are going to walk through the halls. If you talk, you must go to the back of the line.

What is the procedure for bringing cell phones at school?
1. If you bring a cell phone to school, turn it off and leave it in your backpack during the school day (including lunch and recess). 2. Please don't bring a cell phone to school unless you are prepared to comply with Rule #1.

How does each table hand in papers when Mrs. Olsen asks for them?
Everyone at the table should put their papers in a NICE, NEAT pile, and either the teacher or the table captain will take it to the bin. The papers should be turned upside down in the bin.
